摘要: Resource use efficiency in agricultural production has been a major concern Ethiopia. In this article data from 700 households the central highland districts were used to assess farm-level resource and determine factors that influence inefficiencies of teff (Eragrostis tef), wheat chickpea, important crops country. The study established smallholder farmers are inefficient. Moreover, two-limit Tobit regression model results reveal inefficiency is positively significantly affected by family size, farming experience membership associations. It also found those whose decision makers have roles their community activities show improved efficiency. findings eliminating could contribute about 31.28% minimum annual income required for sustenance an average farm household. productivity gains likely be through expansion nonfarm sectors, reform farmer related associations integrating leadership various programs. market infrastructure development would increase productivity.
