摘要: In 1994/95 Ethiopia launched a new agricultural intensification program based on the experience gained from programs of past and success SG 2000 project in achieving higher yields subsistence sector. Stochastic frontier production functions were estimated for sample maize farmers within outside New Extension Program order to study their technical inefficiencies identify some factors contributing variations productivity Harari Region Ethiopia. It is found that there change changes between 1997/98. The average efficiency was 73 per cent such as extension, formal education, off-farm incomes important affecting program. We concluded policies enhancing managerial decision-making capacity growers contributed towards increasing efficiencies objective increased production.
