摘要: Teff ( Eragrostistef ) is a major staple food crop in Ethiopia, but smal lholder teff production characterized by persistently low average yield. A government effort aimed at raising the productivity and competitiveness of smallholder agriculture Ethio pia involved reforming implementing agricultural extension service known as Participatory Demonstration Training Extension System (PADETES). Therefore, this study investigates effect ag ricultural other factors on t he Technical Efficiency (TE) producers nort hern Ethiopia. Using cross sectional data we compar e TE level who are participants no n-participants Agricultural (AE) progr am. We address self-selection to AE program particip ation using propensity score matching method. Translog stochastic frontier function used for analysis. The empirical results reveal that , participants’ non-participants’ farms h ave an 72 71% respectively. Both groups have considerable overall technical inefficiencies, suggesting existence immens potentials enhancing through more ef ficient use available technology resources. Determinants explained significantly li vestock ownership, credit improved seed. Based results, derive policy recommendations im prove farmers’ performance. These measures include provision services related skill farm manage ment capacity farmers, demand driven livestock ex tension service, greater access incre asing availability, quality adoption
