摘要: The shock-induced shear strength of a commercial silastomer, trade name Sylgard 184™, has been determined using laterally mounted manganin stress gauges. Shear observed to increase with increasing shock amplitude, in common many other materials. also slightly behind the front as well. It is believed that combination polymer chain entanglement and cross linking between chains responsible. Finally, ramp on leading edge lower amplitude traces observed. suggested this due collapse free space chains. Similar explanations have used explain apparent non-linearity velocity particle at low amplitudes.
