摘要: Two recently introduced multicolor FISH approaches, cross-species color banding (also termed Rx-FISH) and multiplex using painting probes derived from somatic cell hybrids retaining fragments of human chromosomes, were applied in a comparative molecular cytogenetic study higher primates. We analyzed these "chromosome bar code" patterns to obtain an overview chromosomal rearrangements that occurred during primate evolution. The objective was reconstruct the ancestral genome organization hominoids macaque as outgroup species. Approximately 160 individual discernible markers assigned Resulting maps allowed us identify numerous intra-chromosomal rearrangements, discriminate them previous contradicting chromosome interpretations propose karyotype for hominoids.
