摘要: The solute carrier family 27 member 1 (SLC27A1) is an integral membrane protein involved in the transport of long-chain fatty acids across plasma membrane. This has been implicated diet-induced obesity and thought to be important control energy homeostasis. In previous reports, our group described isolation characterization bovine SLC27A1 gene. gene organized 13 exons spanning over more than 40 kb genomic DNA maps BTA 7 where several quantitative trait loci for fat related traits have described. Because its key role lipid metabolism localization, present work search variability was carried out with aim evaluating potential association milk content dairy cattle. By sequencing analysis all flanking regions 14 new single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were identified: promoter, introns 6 exons. Allele frequencies SNPs calculated by minisequencing two groups Holstein-Friesian animals highest lowest milk-fat estimated breeding values as well Spanish cattle breeds, Asturiana de los Valles Menorquina. conditions assayed, no significant differences between found any SNPs, suggesting that may a poor or null effect on content. Menorquina breeds positions polymorphic exception 8 which C allele fixed both them.
