摘要: The objectives of the study were to quantify levels badger exposure for cattle and test hypothesis that increased does not increase risk bovine tuberculosis (BTB) in a herd. Information became available from targeted removal badgers over period, badger-removal project county Kilkenny, during 1996-1999 was used. specific location within each farm, length time spent farm field grazing season, barnyard winter, used build an coefficient amount encountered either on pasture or barn. design matched case-control which control herds selected using incidence density sampling. During 4-year 543 removed these 96 classified as positive; BTB herd breakdowns occurred. There significant association between case having higher sett 1996-1998. No based number badgers, tuberculous September 1997-December 1999 found.
