摘要: The sense organs of the body lateral-line canals Scyliorhinus were examined with electron microscope and shown to consist supporting cells two kinds sensory cell. One type cell has well-known structure hair cells, bearing on its apical surface a group stereocilia (6 25) associated single kinocilium. Each is innervated by nerve fibre some also receive an efferent supply. second kind similar in appearance, but differs at apex containing many vacuoles lacking stereocilia. There are long microvilli cilium which arises from shallow pit. internal this variable, number tubules outer ring ranging between 7 9 inner pair consisting double elements. This fibres possibly fibres. situation kinocilium relation more variable than been described other while appears bear no special microvilli. accessory neuromast include basal peripheral produce secretion, large secretory found intervals edge organ. convoluted full vesicles.
