摘要: Selective-area deposition of CdTe on CdS via close-space sublimation is used to study the effect window size (2 μm and 300 nm) grain growth. The basic fabrication procedures for each layers (CdS, SiO2, CdTe) achieving selective-area growth are presented. both micro- nano-scale islands substrates using close-spaced demonstrated. Scanning electron microscopy backscatter diffraction microstructure analysis show that micro-scale remain polycrystalline. However, when island reduced nm, single crystal can be achieved within windows. grains were most often in (101) orientation nano-sized islands.
