摘要: The effect of alcohol on judgement or conscious risk-taking may increase the likelihood an automobile accident. This study examined direct effects penalty severity and in a novel simulated-driving lane-choice task. Thirteen male social drinkers received (0.3 g/kg, 0.5 0.8 g/kg) placebo during each four test sessions randomized, within subject design. In repeated trials, subjects selected, then drove through cone-defined lane. Contingent upon performance, points were added (+ 5 for narrower lane, + 3 wider lane) taken away (- 1, - 3, per hit cone) after trial. Risk-taking was defined as selection narrower-width frequency decreased increased. g/kg dose, compared to other doses placebo, significantly increased high-risk (5-point penalty) condition. finding suggests that breath concentrations current legal standards can alter driver's decision-making such willingness enter situation is Language: en
