摘要: The objective of the present retrospective cohort study was to evaluate potential associations between environmental factors and dam characteristics, including level milk production during gestation, insulin traits in newborn Holstein calves. Birth weight gestational age calves at delivery were determined. On next day, heart girth, wither height diagonal length both their dams measured. Parity, body condition score calving recorded for all dams. For cows, days open before last lactation (LL), dry period (DP) interval also calculated. magnitude shape curve quantified using MilkBot model based on monthly weights, used calculate amount produced gestation. Using same procedure, cumulative from conception drying off (MGEST) A blood sample collected (n=481; 169 born heifers 312 cows) least 5 h after a meal day 3 life measure basal glucose levels. In addition, an intravenous glucose-stimulated secretion test performed subset (n=316). After descriptive analysis, generalized linear mixed models identify that significantly associated with major (Insb, level; QUICKI, quantitative sensitivity check index; AIR, acute response; DI, disposition index) overall average birth 42.7±5.92 kg. gender season when data analyzed. cows MGEST, DP LL. Insb estimated be higher having passed MGEST (P=0.076) longer (P=0.034). QUICKI lower (P=0.030) (P=0.058). Moreover, AIR (P=0.009) DI (P=0.049) male compared female Furthermore, (P=0.036) (P=0.039) decisive effects LL may provide basis developing managerial interventions improve metabolic health offspring.
