摘要: Temperature-time study of the magnetoelectric multiferroic (1-x)BiFeO3-(x)PbTiO3 by x-ray and electron diffraction on reported morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) compositions revealed that this MPB does not correspond to equilibrium state. The like state is rather metastable nature arise due kinetic arrest rhombohedral (R3c) phase, along with tetragonal (P4mm) phase. life time R3c nuclei very sensitive composition temperature, nearly diverges at x → 0.27. appears only if system cooled before could vanish. These findings resolve long standing controversy regard seemingly erratic formation behaviour different groups provides a rational basis for developing genuine in better piezoelectric properties.
