摘要: Abstract Objectives: The primary objective is to review current research with respect tothe role of trauma in fibromyalgia (FM). A secondary hypothesize which steps need be taken, first determine whether such an association truly exists, and second clarify what might mean. Methods: An extensive literature was undertaken, including Medlinefrom 1979 the present Results: strongest evidence supporting between FM a recently published Israeli study adults neck injuries had greater than 10-fold increased risk developing within 1 year their injury, compared lower extremity fractures ( P = .001). Several other studies provide hypothetical construct for association. These include on (1) postinjury sleep abnormalities, (2) local injury sites as source chronic distant regional pain; (3) concept neuroplasticity. There are, however, several arguments against association: may not distinct clinical entity; psychological, rather physical, disease; any limited definitive; (4) study, itself, has some methodological limitations; (5) factors more important injurious event determining symptoms after acute injury. Conclusions: Although there FM, definitive. Further prospective are needed confirm this identify causal role.
