摘要: When the Fukushima accident occurred in March 2011, Finland was at height of a nuclear renaissance, with Government's decision-in-principle 2010 to allow construction two new reactors. This article examines power debate after Fukushima. We deploy concepts (de)politicisation and hyperpoliticisation analysis articles country's main newspaper. Our indicates that Finnish exceptionalism manifested safety-related depoliticising nation's prosperity-related arguments pro-nuclear camp. The anti-nuclear camp used politicisation strategies, such as economic arguments, show unprofitability power. had clear effect on policy: government programme 2011 excluded build.
