摘要: In recent years, the consumption of avocado (as fresh fruit or processed) has experienced a sharp increase worldwide due to its nutritional value and beneficial health effects. Its industrial processing generates huge amounts underused by-products, mainly peel seed, causing important environmental economic problems. However, these wastes present high content bioactive phytochemicals making recovery an excellent opportunity enhance sustainability profitability modern industry. This review encompasses main studies related cutting-edge extraction techniques used obtain value-added compounds from by-products. Moreover, integrated biorefinery model manufacture several high-added-value products with significant applications in food, pharmaceutical, chemistry, cosmetic industries is also raised.
