摘要: Oral polio vaccine (OPV) will likely be insufficient to completely eradicate due its propensity mutate into neurovirulent forms and inability produce adequate immunity in certain areas of the world. Inactivated (IPV), a killed which therefore cannot mutate, may more effective than OPV populations, required for global eradication. However, high cost IPV is prohibitive many Intradermal administration has potential lower dose, thus cost, IPV. This article reviews clinical studies date on intradermal fractional dose vaccination. We conclude that vaccination shows as means reduce increase ease IPV, but additional research needed determine optimal timing, role adjuvants well significance different antibody titers above threshold seroconversion.
