摘要: The c-src proto-oncogene has been implicated in the progression of primary human colorectal carcinoma to hepatic metastasis. To determine if increased pp60c-src tyrosine kinase activity is a colon-specific phenomenon present metastases all sites, pp60c-src-specific noncolon tumor liver was compared that metastases. Activity extrahepatic colon as well normal colonic mucosa. specific multiple synchronous from also examined. Tyrosine determined by immune complex assay; protein levels were immunoblotting. Specific calculated for each group dividing total level. Colon had significantly (P < 0.04) with an average 2.2-fold increase over In contrast, showed minimal activity. Extrahepatic demonstrated 0.005) 12.7-fold When metastases, show significant difference 0.05) 5.7-fold increase. Examination confirmed these results. summary, we conclude (1) activation between tumors and (2) although site-specific differences magnitude are evident.
