摘要: Rotavirus is the major cause of severe dehydrating diarrhoea in young children worldwide. Considerable research has been carried out on rotavirus disease India. This review collated data from 46 epidemiological studies to determine positivity rates and genotypes infecting strains various settings Studies presenting hospitals, neonatal infections, symptomatic asymptomatic infections community nosocomial enteric were included. varied greatly between different - hospitalizations (20%), (35%), (15.1% 6.3% respectively) (22.5%). Among diarrhea hospitalizations, commonest G types G1 G2 while P P[8], P[6] P[4]. Region specific by bovinehuman reassortants have reported, addition several recently described unusual strains, which may be evidence zoonotic infection and/or reassortment. The emergence new highlights need for intensive strain surveillance before after introduction a vaccine.
