摘要: Abstract The mechanical properties of short glass fiber/epoxy composites containing cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) made using sheet molding compound (SMC) manufacturing method as well the rheological and thermomechanical CNC-epoxy were investigated a function CNC content. up to 1.4 wt% dispersed in epoxy produce resin for SMC production. addition increased its viscosity slightly reduced heat reaction during polymerization without altering curing time temperature effective pot life resin. incorporation 0.9 wt% composite resulted increases elastic modulus tensile strength by ∼25% ∼30% flexural ∼44% ∼33% respectively. Concentrations did not alter impact energy.
