摘要: In this study, cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) are incorporated into a waterborne epoxy resin following two processing protocols that vary by order of addition. The produce different levels CNC dispersion in the resulting composites. more homogeneously dispersed composite has higher storage modulus and work fracture at temperatures less than glass transition temperature. Some properties related to component interactions, such as thermal degradation moisture content, similar for both systems. mechanism is probed with electrophoretic measurements electron microscopy, based on these results, it hypothesized preaddition facilitates formation CNC-coated droplet, promoting giving epoxide droplets added electrostatic stability. implication structural changes polymer network results an extension crosslinker mixture's pot life three orders magnitude.
