摘要: Summary A cDNA encoding a protein, NtrbohD, located on the plasma membrane and homologue to flavocytochrome of neutrophil NADPH oxidase, was cloned in tobacco. The corresponding mRNA accumulated when tobacco leaves cells were treated with fungal elicitor cryptogein. After elicitation cryptogein, transformed antisense constructs NtrbohD showed same extracellular alkalinization as control, but no longer produced active oxygen species (AOS). This work represents first demonstration function gp91–phox AOS production elicited cells.
