摘要: Abstract Submonolayers to multilayers of zinc and oxygen deposited in UHV on Cu(110) were characterized by Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), low-energy diffraction (LEED), temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) CO, CO2 zinc. It is shown that initially, ZnOx grows two-dimensionally Cu(110), but heating above 300 K leads irreversibly three-dimensional island formation. These islands then used with various amounts chemisorbed the exposed as models for Cu Zn O methanol synthesis catalysts. Methanol produces formates surface, concentration which can be controlled amount oxygen. The coverage found catalysts after reaction corresponds at maximum formate formation occurs ourZnOx/O/Cu(110) surfaces.
