摘要: Many of the endemic cichlids Lake Malawi have low fecundities and restricted distributions within lake (Fryer Iles, 1972; Ribbink et al., 1983). Consequently, they may be particularly vulnerable to local overfishing. fisheries on Malaŵi catch a large number species with different life history characteristics (Chapter 17). Most similar economic values. Thus, populations more decline long before fishing becomes uneconomical. The two techniques most likely pose such threat are small-meshed beach seines demersal pair trawls. At present, almost nothing is known biological basis seine fisheries. However, recent studies trawling grounds in south shown that has had considerable effects many cichlid species.
