摘要: Compression‐annealed pyrolytic graphite and single‐crystal specimens were irradiated with neutrons for total exposures of 3 to 71×1017 neutrons/cm2 (nvt) at 50°C, 8×1019 nvt 650°C 1.2×1020 1000°C. The elastic constants the materials determined before after irradiation by ultrasonic‐, sonic‐resonance‐, static‐test methods. only constant that changed significantly was shear modulus c44 although a small change also seen in c33. natural crystals had moduli range 0.16–0.46×1011 dyn/cm2, showing no correlation temperature, exposure, or irradiation. average values 0.22−0.40×1011 dyn/cm2 0.030−0.033×1011 650°C, 0.042×1011 1000°C; when all dislocations are pinn...
