摘要: Background Single-cell RNA sequencing is the reference technique for characterizing heterogeneity of tumor microenvironment. The composition various cell types making up microenvironment can significantly affect way in which immune system activates cancer rejection mechanisms. Understanding cross-talk signals between cells and fundamental importance identification immuno-oncology therapeutic targets. Results We present a novel method, single-cell Tumor-Host Interaction tool (scTHI), to identify activated ligand-receptor interactions across clusters from data. apply our approach uncover glioma using 6 publicly available human datasets encompassing 57,060 gene expression profiles 71 patients. By leveraging this large-scale collection we show that unexpected partners are highly conserved different majority samples. This suggests shared mechanisms exist glioma. Conclusions Our results provide complete map active tumor-host interaction pairs be therapeutically exploited reduce immunosuppressive action brain tumor.
