摘要: Abstract The aim of this study was to analyze whether partial hepatectomy alters functional liver heterogeneity with respect bile acid processing. One, 5 and 21 days after resection (≈8)% mass) in male Sprague-Dawlye rats (300–400 g), isolated livers were perfused either the antegrade or retrograde direction, respectively, 32 nmol cholate/min per g liver. Uptake, metabolism biliary secretion kinetics determined by bolus injection 14 C-cholate. Uptake recovery (within 30 mn) cholate >90% all groups. One day postresection, mass had already doubled it regenerated over 80% resection. Serum concentration increased rapidly, peaking 61 h (176.7±28.5 μmol/l) (mean±SEM). Twenty-one fell control values (23.±3.8 μmol/l). T 25 (T 50 ), time (min) necessary excrete 25% (50) load into bile, strikingly different between periportal pericentral cells controls (1.8 vs 5.7 3.4 8.1). Five difference became smaller (1.4 2.9 2.8 5.5) due accelerated cells. Pericentral metabolized more extensively taurocholate (≈83%) glycocholate (≈13%) than (65%, 10%), leading a 5-fold higher proportion unmetabolized (25% 5%). percentage decreased significantly at expense an formation glycocholate. resection, composition came resemble that controls. In conclusion, results demosntrate reduction metabolic zonation regard processing Despite regenerating liver, overall not impaired as compared This is comparable weaning where has yet developed.
