摘要: The present study quantifies and explains the differences between measured organ-specific polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) accumulation elimination kinetics in seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax), comparing these results with calculations using generic model OMEGA. Specimens of approximately 250 g were selected fed contaminated food PCBs 18, 44, 49, 52, 101, 105, 118, 138, 180 187. OMEGA was applied a biomass (re)production coefficient ingestion coefficient. It produced estimations total body concentrations within factor 1.5 7.0 times it also reproduced general trend PCB during experiment. This allows us to confirm that internal distribution is slow, producing significant tissues rate constants consequently bioaccumulation factors (BAF). organism slower than reported before, due bigger size high lipid content fish.
