摘要: A trial was conducted to determine the effect of level and source dietary fiber on N OM excretion by cattle finishing diets. One hundred twenty steers were stratified weight allotted one following treatments: 7.5% roughage (7.5% R), wet corn gluten feed (WCGF; 41.5% DM), all-concentrate (All Con) diet. Cattle fed for 87 d during summer with 23.7 m2 pen area per animal. Steers WCGF diet had heavier final weights, greater DMI, higher ADG (P < .01) than R All Con treatments. lower DMI other two Nitrogen mass balances in feedlot quantified. Main components nutrient input, retention, excretion. intake .05) those The treatment a percentage fecal output .05). urinary excreted more compared treatments, which led being removed manure at cleaning. runoff Nutrition can change site fermentation, affects composition material; however, total amount may be important route decreasing losses environment maximizing recovery manure.
