摘要: Small amounts (1-5 vol%) of ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH) were added to the ethanol-water-based hydroxyapatite (HA) sol-gel solution. After aging sol, a Ti substrate was dip-coated and heat-treated at 500degreesC for 1h in air. The sol properties monitored terms pH, viscosity, structure changes with time; also, coating phase on investigated. During aging, viscosity increased while pH decreased, confirming polymerization gelation sol. addition NH4OH altered significantly. Increase concentration Sol considerably, especially short period, followed by saturation further aging. Fourier transformed-infrared analysis also confirmed gradual change addition. Such bands driven attributed improved shortened time needed crystallization apatite coating, i.e., increase coatings. Within 24 h time, coatings containing over 3.5 vol% showed characteristic HA bands, which period no peaks observed obtained without
