Study of humic-like substances in fog and interstitial aerosol by size-exclusion chromatography and capillary electrophoresis

摘要: Abstract Recently, there have been implications that the bulk of organic carbon in atmospheric aerosol and fog is contained an “air polymer” whose chemical nature poorly understood. Since several properties (e.g. acidity, UV–VIS absorbance, fluorescence) this polymer were found to be very similar those humic substances term humic-like (HULIS) was proposed. In work size-exclusion chromatography capillary electrophoresis are used obtain new information about some HULIS water aqueous extract interstitial aerosol. Retention migration behaviour as well mass spectra investigated compared reference substances. The applied for determination range protonation constants HULIS, well. Scavenging ratio calculated same ammonium sulphate. results imply such compounds may play a role cloud condensation.
