摘要: Carbonaceous particles contribute about half of the atmospheric aerosol, but knowledge their composition and sources has lagged behind that inorganic components because diversity organic compounds complexity mixtures. The past decade provided new measurement techniques have allowed identification chemical characterization four categories carbonaceous particle – fossil fuel combustion, biofuel biomass burning, biogenic vapor fluxes, mechanically lofted biological components. There are a number other smaller more localized source such as evaporative solvents from industrial (noncombustion) operations not included in these major categories. formation, composition, structure summarized here, with brief discussion impacts on atmosphere.
