摘要: To infect the host and cause disease, many medically important fungi invade normally nonphagocytic cells, such as endothelial cells epithelial cells. Host cell invasion is a two-step process consisting of adherence followed by invasion. There are two general mechanisms invasion, induced endocytosis active penetration. Furthermore, can traverse or barriers either proteolytic degradation intercellular tight junctions via Trojan horse mechanism in which they transported leukocytes. Although these have been best studied using Candida albicans Cryptococcus neoformans, it probable that other invasive also use one more to Identification holds promise facilitate development new approaches inhibit fungal thereby prevent disease.
