摘要: Abstract Introduction The results and causes of failure for 61 patients undergoing surgery femoral hip periprosthetic fracture are reported. Materials methods Fractures were classified according to the Vancouver System. Osteosynthesis was performed in 88% cases prosthetic revision 12% cases. Clinical functional outcomes assessed Harris Hip Score radiological evaluated using Beals Tower's criteria. Results At a mean follow-up 32 months, 73.1 excellent-to-good 72.2% after first surgery. end treatment, complete healing stability prosthesis found 87.3% patients. most relevant result recovery walking 73.8% Mortality 1.6% at 3 months 3.3% 12 months. A higher mortality rate occurred when delayed more than 5 days trauma. Conclusions analysis our shows that type B1 fractures treated with plating osteosynthesis, there worse total arthroplasty cemented stems compared uncemented stems. In B2 cementless straight stems, osteosynthesis plate can be valid option. C fractures, stem must carefully assessed.
