摘要: Abstract Mossbauer characterization of iron catalysts following Fischer-Tropsch reaction at 523 °K reveals significant differences in carbide phases formed depending on particle, support, and alloying with Ni. Small particles silica favor formation the unstable ϵ′ ϵ carbides. Large small magnesia form χ as is normal for bulk unpromoted iron. Alloying nickel approximately equimolar amounts completely prevents carbides our conditions, but some evidence exists surface carbon. The complexity metastable Fe/FexC/C system further exemplified a series spectra recorded intermediate times. These data demonstrate time dependency dependence rate average metal particle size.
