摘要: We have previously shown that a subpopulation of nylon wool nonadherent, lymphoid cells in normal mice binds selectively to tumor cell targets are sensitive killing by natural killer (NK) cells. In the present report these target-binding (TBC) were enriched or depleted velocity sedimentation and isolation single target-effector conjugates indicated majority TBC killed their targets. Furthermore, frequency correlated well (r = 0.86) with lysis population during kinetics experiments. resembled small, resting lymphocytes membrane specializations area target contact as electron microscopy cytochemical techniques. Target binding occurred before studies regenerated parallel lytic potential trypsinized devoid surface Ig θ-bearing Cell was prevented presence EDTA whereas metabolic inhibitors serine proteases suppressed no effect on TBC. Conversely, an interferon-inducing agent elevated NK-mediated cytolysis level These results suggest i) we detect represents NK ii) independently controlled events. A tentative model is proposed.
