摘要: The aim of this study was to trace the evolution geographic atrophy (GA) by clinical documentation and clinico-morphological correlation in representative eyes. Geographic commonly commenced within a parafoveal band incipient varying width, characterised semisolid drusen microreticular pigment pattern. Progression mostly skirted fixation visual acuity poor guide functional impact, an estimate percentage fovea involved proving more useful parameter. rate progression slowed once GA had all retina affected risk choroidal neovascularization appeared decline. An earlier histological classification is revised according ultrastructural findings. Membranous debris not previously recognised its contribution findings dot-like described.
