摘要: Purpose Although orthognathic surgeries focus on adjustment of facial asymmetry (FA), many clinicians know by experience that the natural head posture (NHP) also is corrected after surgery. The authors examined whether this was indeed case measuring NHP during course treatment. Factors associated with correction were evaluated. Patients and Methods In retrospective study, clinical features, including NHP, patients FA those symmetry (FS) compared. They outpatients a private orthodontic dental clinic from December 2008 to March 2012. degree tilt evaluated using an interpupillary (IP) horizontal angle. analyzed further before presurgical treatment, surgery postsurgical 1 year completion difference at each time point 1-way analysis variance. An factors influence performed linear regression. Results Thirty-one 27 FS more profound in group compared group. There skeletal Class III decreased treatment remained when measured later. Women less prone than men Conclusion have tilted FS. Orthognathic for might correct lesser women.
