摘要: Candida species, although they are present as commensal organisms in the digestive tract of healthy individuals, can produce a broad spectrum serious illnesses compromised hosts. Fluconazole, water-soluble triazole with bioavailability greater than 90 %, has been extensively used to treat wide range infections. However, growing resistance microorganisms treatment leads discovery new drugs or modifications existing ones. The aim study was investigate whether coordination Cu(II) ions fluconazole affects its antifungal activity. vitro susceptibility tests and studies were performed two spp.: Candidaglabrata albicans. Overall, 34 strains former 16 latter treated fluconazole, complex free ions. obtained MIC values cases C. glabrata 5 albicans lower for comparison drug. This implies that is more effective against particular parent most significant improvement drug efficacy observed fluconazole-resistant species.
