摘要: In Ce3+–Yb3+ co-doped Y3Al5O12 (YAG) ceramics, possibility of quantum cutting mechanism converting one visible photon into two NIR photons with optimum efficiency approaching 200% have been investigated. this material, Yb3+ emissions due to the F25/2-F27/2 in range 1 μm were observed upon excitation 5d level Ce3+. addition, spectra emission corresponded that Ce3+ completely. Lifetime decreased increasing content. These results indicate energy transfer (ET) from levels F55/2 Yb3+. (Y0.945Ce0.005Yb0.05) A3l5O12 sample, directly measured yield (QY) was about 12% and lower than QY (96%) estimated ET which calculated lifetime
