摘要: Abstract A middle-aged patient underwent staged endovascular embolization of a Spetzler-Martin grade V right parietal arteriovenous malformation(AVM).In the fifth embolization, after methohexital 10 mg injection into posterior choroidal artery feeding AVM nidus, there was an immediate change in electroencephalogram (EEG) with simultaneous loss motor evoked potentials (MEPs) bilateral upper and lower extremities delayed somatosensory potential responses (SSEPs). No made procedure terminated. This case demonstrates utility intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM) pharmacologic provocative testing predicting mitigating risks prior to proposed embolization.
