摘要: Sparfloxacin is a broad-spectrum oral fluoroquinolone antimicrobial agent with long elimination half-life, extensively used against both Gram-positive as well Gram-negative microorganism. Concurrent administration of antacids and sparfloxacin decreases the gastrointestinal absorption therapeutic failure may result. The present study was designed to evaluate influence some on availability sparfloxacin. release from tablets in presence like sodium bicarbonate, calcium hydroxide, carbonate, aluminum magnesium trisilicate magaldrate has been studied BP 2003 dissolution test apparatus. These studies were carried out simulated gastric intestinal juices for three hours at 37 degrees C. results confirmed that rate markedly retarded all studied, whereas carbonate exhibited relatively higher adsorption capacities juice hydroxide juice.
