摘要: The relationship between adult hippocampal neurogenesis and cognition appears more complex than suggested by early reports. We aimed to determine if the duration task demands of spatial memory training differentially affect neurogenesis. Adult male rats were trained in Morris water maze a reference for 4 days, or alternatively working either 14 days. Four days did not impact regardless whether paradigms used. Interestingly, 2 weeks using hidden platform resulted fewer newborn neurons compared with controls that received cue no exposure. Stress is well-established negative regulator found general, particular, increased levels circulating corticosterone after training. Our study indicates over prolonged period time reduces neurogenesis, this reduction may partially be mediated stress.
