摘要: Background: Dry socket is one of the most common complications occurring after extraction a permanent tooth, but in spite its high incidence there not an established treatment for this condition. Objectives: Analyze efficacy different methods used management dry regarding results pain’s relief and alveolar mucosa healing compared to conventional surgical curettage saline irrigation. Material Methods: A Cochrane PubMed-MEDLINE database search was conducted with terms “dry socket”, “post-extraction complications”, “alvogyl”, “alveolar osteitis” “fibrynolitic alveolitis”, individually net, using Boolean operator “AND”. The inclusion criteria were: clinical studies including at least 10 patients, articles published from 2004 2014 written English. exclusion were case reports and nonhuman studies. Results: 11 publications selected total 627. Three excluded reading full text. final review included 8 articles: 3 prospective studies, 2 retrospective trials. They were stratified according their level scientific evidence SORT (Strenght Recommendation Taxonomy). Conclusions: All treatments have aim patient’s pain promote socket. Given heterogeneity interventions type measurement scale, are difficult compare. Curettage irrigation should be carried out socket, as well another therapy such LLLT, zinc oxide eugenol or plasma rich growth factors, which are ones that show better pain remission healing.
