Experimental dry socket: microscopic and molecular evaluation of two treatment modalities

摘要: ABsTRACTPuRPOsE : To evaluate two treatment modalities of dry socket in rats and to discuss the first findings molecular analysis this experimental model. METHOds 84 underwent a tooth extraction were divided 4 groups: I-uninfected (control), II-infected without any treatment, III-infected treated with irrigation 2% sodium iodide 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, IV-infected submitted curettage, physiological saline solution fulfilled metronidazole paste as base. The groups subdivided postoperative sacrifice periods: 6/15/28 days. A quantitative qualitative microscopic was performed. Also, performed using RealTimePCR genes expression wound healing: Collagen Type I/COL-I, vascular endothelial growth factor/VEGF, osteocalcin/OCN, alkaline phosphatase/ALP, runt-related transcription factor 2/RUNX2 tumor necrosis alpha/TNF-α.
