摘要: RNA polymerase III (Pol III) is one of three eukaryotic transcription complexes, and was identified as the complex responsible for production transfer a limited number other small RNAs. Pol at tRNA genes (tDNAs) requires binding two factor TFIIIC TFIIIB. Recent evidence points to larger role system in various nuclear processes, including effects on nucleosome positioning, global genome sub-nuclear organization, direct II II) transcription. These are perhaps mediated by recruitment host chromatin proteins, factors enzymes. Extra-TFIIIC sites (ETC sites) chromosomal locations bound without rest complex, alone also able mediate additional functions. so called "extra-transcriptional effects" reviewed here, model put forth suggesting that may act stably bound, "bookmark" within establish, maintain, or demarcate states cells divide change gene expression patterns.
