摘要: Respiratory support with high-frequency jet ventilation has been advocated during airway surgery or to improve pulmonary mechanics and gas exchange in patients bronchopleural fistulae insufficiency. Despite a large body of published evidence describing its benefits as an alternative ventilatory approach anaesthesia intensive care medicine, application not gained widespread acceptance is restricted specialized centres. To review the literature on European North American institutions, we performed search computerized database (MEDLINE) covering period from 1990 until present time, use over 7000 patients. Various modes apply have established, but value controversial. We report our experience combined provide guidelines for safe application.
