摘要: Clostridium difficile is the major cause of nosocomial diarrhea. We have previously demonstrated that in southern Taiwan, severe C. difficile-associated diarrhea (CDAD) cases were due to RT 126 strain infection, indicating arrival an epidemic clone Taiwan. RT126 has a close genetic relationship with RT078. However, RT078 family predominant animals worldwide, particularly swine. In this study, we surveyed strains isolated from swine at several farms Taiwan August 2011 March 2015. found all strains, namely (32.5%, 37 114), (28.9%, 33 114) and RT127 (37.7%, 43 belonged toxigenic family. All had high gyrA mutation rate (57.9%, 66/114), which was linked quinolone resistance. Notably, Rep-PCR revealed 3 animal same fingerprint as human clinical isolates; their phylogenic closely related whole gene sequences tcdB, thus suggesting zoonotic potential for infection
