摘要: From January 2008 to April 2009, 72 cases of severe Clostridium difficile infection were reported from 18 different districts in the state Hesse, Germany. A total 41 C. isolates patients subjected PCR ribotyping. ribotype (RT) 027 was most prevalent strain accounting for 24 (59%) typed isolates, followed by RT 001 (eight 20%), 017 and 042 (two each), 003, 066, 078, 081, RKI-034 (one isolate each). Eighteen had died within 30 days after admission. as underlying cause or contributing death 14 patients, indicating a case fatality rate 19%. The with lethal outcome attributable 59-89 years-old (median 78 years). Ribotyping results available seven associated outcome, which identified three two each. Our data suggest that is some hospitals Hesse that, addition possibly more virulent 027, other toxigenic strains like are infections this region.
