摘要: The domestic environment can be a source of pathogenic bacteria. We show here that shower hoses may harbour potentially bacteria and fungi. Well-developed biofilms were physically removed from the internal surface collected in four locations England Scotland. Amplicon pyrosequencing 16S 18S rRNA targets revealed presence common aquatic environmental bacteria, including members Actinobacteria, Alphaproteobacteria, Bacteroidetes non-tuberculous Mycobacteria. These are associated with infections immunocompromised hosts widely reported systems as causes water-acquired infection. More importantly, this study represents first detailed analysis fungal populations sequences related to Exophiala mesophila , Fusarium fujikuroi Malassezia restricta . organisms healthy skin, but also infection compromised immuno-competent occurrence dandruff. Domestic showering result exposure aerosols fungi toxigenic. It prudent limit development these by use disinfectants, or regular replacement hoses, where immuno-compromised persons present.
