摘要: Abstract A variant clone resistant to high doses of colchicine (KB-C1) derived from human cancer KB cell line is various anticancer agents. The KB-C1 cells were much more epidermal growth factor and a chimeric toxin, EGF-Pseudomonas exotoxin (PE), than the parental cells. have decreased numbers EGF-receptors, though affinity receptors similar that in drug-sensitive revertant (C1-R2) partially recovered its EGF-receptor activity. Northern blot analysis showed level mRNA cells, while multidrug-resistance gene, mdr-1, was expressed at very levels but not or C1-R2 drug-resistant less tumorigenic when injected into nude mice. expression these may be one pleiotropic properties multidrug-resistant perhaps represent basis for their reduced tumorigenicity.
